MISSION AND PURPOSE

The Archer Academic Foundation exists to provide resources that promote academic enrichment beyond the scope of daily education for students in the Archer Cluster.
The Archer Academic Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization dedicated to providing financial resources to enrich education within the Archer Cluster. 


PRIORITIES

The foundation’s priorities are to provide grants to our teachers and schools in the Archer Cluster.  Additionally, scholarships are awarded each year to graduating seniors at Archer High School.  The grants are intended to provide academic enrichment to the students beyond the scope of daily educational instruction.

Susan Headley Scholarship

 

Susan Headley

 

The Susan D. Headley Scholarship is a one-time award of $500 to a senior at Archer HS. The recipient exhibits good character, a love of learning, and a desire to further his or her education. Susan D. Headley was a beloved teacher at Harbins Elementary School.  She taught for many years in Gwinnett County and was awarded the honor and selected as a semifinalist for the 2006 GCPS Teacher of the Year. Susan passed away in 2010, and this scholarship is funded in her memory.

Judy Patterson Legacy Memorial Scholarship

The Judy Patterson Legacy Scholarship is a one-time award of $1000 to a senior at Archer HS with a “B” average or higher.  The recipient exhibits good character, serves as a volunteer, and meets the requirements of graduation.  Judy Patterson was a founding member of the Archer Foundation Board of Directors.  She was a dedicated volunteer in the Archer Cluster and served in many PTA leadership roles at Cooper Elementary School.  Judy passed away in 2014, and this scholarship is funded in her memory.
